Therefore, since the children have shared in blood and flesh, He also likewise partook of the same things, so that through death He might destroy the one who holds the power of death, that is, the devil

For this reason, it is all the more necessary for us to direct attention to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.*

Therefore, He was under obligation to be made like His brothers in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, in order to make propitiation* for the sins of the people.

But we do see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honour because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
