So we don’t focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer humanity is decaying, our inside is being renewed day by day. For our momentary, lightweight oppression is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.

We are squeezed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not to despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay, so that the extraordinary power is from God and not from us.

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, would not shine on them.

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
