Let’s not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing. Instead, let’s encourage one another. And let’s meet and encourage one another even more as we see the day of Christ’s return approaching.

And let’s consider how we can stir one another up to love and good works.

Let’s hold firmly to the hope we say we have, because the one who promised is faithful.

You need to stand firm so that when you’ve done God’s will, you’ll receive what he has promised.

So let’s draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings. Our hearts have been sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

So don’t throw away your confidence. It will be richly rewarded.

If we deliberately keep on sinning after we’ve come to know the truth, then there’s no offering left for our sins. All we can do is to wait in fear for God’s punishment and the blazing fire that will burn up his enemies.
