Always be joyful, never stop praying, and give thanks no matter what happens, because this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

May God himself, the God of peace, make you holy and complete. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless from now until our Lord Jesus Christ comes. The one who has called you is faithful, and he will do all these things.

Make sure that no one pays back one wrong act with another. Instead, always try to do what’s good for each other and for everyone else.

So encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, to warn certain people who don’t want to work and who are being disruptive. Encourage those who have lost hope, help those who are weak, and be patient with everyone.

God didn’t choose us to receive his anger but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

All of you are children of the light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night or to the darkness.
