Turn all your worries over to him, because he cares about you.

After you’ve suffered for a little while, the God of all grace will restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. He has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ.

Be alert and stay sober. Your enemy the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for something to kill and eat. Fight back against him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is going through the same kind of suffering.

So humble yourselves under God’s mighty hand, and then he will honor you at the right time.

In the same way, you who are younger should follow the lead of your elders. All of you should have a humble attitude toward one another, because Scripture says, “God opposes those who are proud, but he gives grace to those who are humble.”
