Philemon is a personal letter, written by Paul, humbly requesting freedom for a runaway slave. The letter is short, but its message is profound, and its impact reaches across history. So what does the Bible say about slavery? And what does it mean for us in a world where slavery remains real and present? Join TTW for compelling audio guides with clear explanation in just minutes a day.

Discipleship works against fear. As we obey God’s commands, we entrust ourselves to him. Like the students attending the schools founded by D. L. Moody in Northfield, MA, God’s people “are encouraged to test the meaning and value of the Bible’s teachings experimentally, by acting upon them, and living them out.” As we “test experimentally” the word of God, we will find that we will have fewer and fewer reasons to be afraid. Tearfund’s mission is to help communities around the world escape the very worst effects of poverty and disaster. How might this mission be tied to the Biblical concept of jubilee? There are seven themes in Leviticus 25 that depict a twofold movement of God’s acting and our responding, releasing us to the better life God has for us.

As Christians, we have the opportunity to reconcile conviction with compassion and serve others with truth and love. As agents of redemption, we have to remember we have been redeemed to redeem the world. See redemption throughout the Bible and how it can remind us of the role each of us has to play in the daily work of redemption.

February - No complicated content, just a monthly chronological journey through the Bible. The Bible isn't arranged in the order events happened—it’s usually organized by genre. February continues our chronological journey through Scripture as we read Exodus, Leviticus, and the opening chapters of Numbers. You’ll follow God’s people from slavery to freedom, witness His power and presence, and learn how He formed Israel into a covenant people. Along the way, you’ll see God’s heart for holiness, worship, and relationship with His people.

The following reading plan is provided to encourage you to dig deep into the Biblical message of generosity.
