Names are like any other words, they have meaning and often carry deep significance in our lives. The name Yeshua was not a unique name. It was the Hebrew name Joshua, a very common name. However, this name carries great significance, not because of its uniqueness, but because of its meaning, “the LORD is salvation”. Furthermore, it wasn’t just the meaning but the man behind the meaning. Jesus, Yeshua, the LORD our savior. “For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." "To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name." Prayer: Yeshua! We are forgiven by your name. We have been Baptized in your name. Miracles happen when we put faith in your name. There is authority in your name. Anything I need will be given to me if you ask in your name. Everything we do, in word or in deed, we do it in your name. There is power in your name Yeshua! As Solomon writes, “My beloved is radiant and ruddy, distinguished among ten thousand." How beautiful is your name Yeshua, the name above all names! As I sing this song I will remember your name, Yeshua our salvation, how beautiful is your name amongst tens of thousands!
