Psalms 28

28
A Psalm of David.
1To You will I cry, O  Lord my rock; # Ps 18:2
do not be silent to me,
lest, if You are silent to me, # Ps 83:1
I become like those who go down to the pit.
2Hear the voice of my supplications
when I cry to You,
when I lift up my hands
toward Your most holy place. # Ps 5:7; 138:2
3Do not take me away with the wicked
and with the workers of iniquity, # Ps 26:9
who speak peace with their neighbors
while mischief is in their hearts. # Ps 12:2
4Repay them according to their deeds,
and according to the wickedness of their endeavors;
repay them according to the work of their hands;
render to them their due reward. # 2Ti 4:14; Rev 18:6
5Because they do not regard the works of the Lord,
nor the work of His hands, # Isa 5:12
He will destroy them
and not build them up.
6Blessed be the Lord,
because He has heard the voice of my supplications.
7The Lord is my strength and my shield; # Ps 18:1–2
my heart trusted in Him, and I was helped;
therefore my heart rejoices, # Ps 13:5
and with my song I will thank Him.
8The Lord is the strength of His people,
and He is the saving refuge of His anointed. # Ps 20:6
9Save Your people
and bless Your inheritance; # Dt 9:29
shepherd them # Isa 40:11 and bear them up forever.
