Crisis ConvertedVoorbeeld

Theme: God is exclusive.
Crisis Converted Then:
When every person from every nation is assembled, they testify to one truth: Yahweh has proclaimed his rescue for his people in exile. His witnesses are called to testify to God’s exclusivity. He alone is the one who rescues. God proves his exclusive divinity in his ability to rescue his people from danger.
Crisis Converted Now:
“I am Yahweh… apart from me there is no savior.” All of our hope lies in this one exclusive God. He has rescued his people from slavery in Egypt; he has rescued his people from exile in Babylon; he can rescue any person in slavery to sin. He alone can. No other foreign god, no self-help philosophy, no moral discipline, no fad psychology, no popular guru can offer what God offers. We testify to his exclusive salvation in history and in our present lives. How does your life today testify to God’s exclusive rescue?

Aangaande hierdie leesplan

This study from Isaiah 40-55 explores our identity as people affected by trauma but living in hope. In the exile, God’s nation had to find new life when their old life had been completely overturned and destroyed. Similarly, we now find ourselves trying to “return to normal” in the aftermath of a global pandemic. Yet, God can take any crisis and convert it for his glory and our growth.
