Pushing Through PainVoorbeeld

Have you ever put the wrong address in your GPS? The other day, my husband and I were going over to a friend's house for dinner. I texted my friend to get her address and then proceeded to plug it into my phone.
As we were driving, my husband kept telling me that it didn’t look right, but I kept reassuring him that I had the correct address, and he just needed to calm down (which obviously went extremely well).
Needless to say, we ended up in the middle of nowhere at an abandoned-looking house that definitely wasn’t theirs (much to my chagrin). Oh, and did I mention it was in the middle of an 8-inch snowstorm? It was an emotionally painful and frustrating moment.
Before leaving, it would have been helpful for me to have known where my destination was. How many of us do this? How many of us go through life never thinking about our destination after this life is over?
Eternity and Heaven are real. How different would your days be if you truly lived out what you believe? We exist to connect people to Jesus and each other. Living with eternity in mind changes everything.
Many people give up because they don’t have the right destination in their GPS. Have you given up because you lost sight of the bigger picture? Choose today to start living with your eternity at the forefront of your mind and watch how God works in and through your life in greater ways with that mind shift change.
