Peter certainly stepped out into unfamiliar territory when he agreed to travel to Caesarea with the three messengers. "The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with them." Everything in Peter's upbringing would have told him not to do this. Firstly there were the Jewish prohibitions against socialising with Gentiles and secondly, these were the Roman occupiers and those who crucified the Lord Jesus! That was a lot to expect, yet he went and with "no hesitation."

Lord, help me to always be in step with the Spirit. (Gal. 5:25 ESV) Help me to become more sensitive to Your voice so that You need to whisper and I hear and obey. May I not hesitate when I hear You speak to me. I do not want to miss the opportunities that You bring my way.
