Om hierdie rede moet ons soveel kragtiger vasgryp aan wat ons gehoor het, sodat ons nie dalk wegdrywe nie. As die woord wat deur engele gepraat is, bindend was, en elke oortreding en ongehoorsaamheid regmatig gestraf is, hoe sal ons dan ontkom as ons so 'n groot saligheid verontagsaam het? Hierdie saligheid is immers deur die Here verkondig, deur wie dit sy oorsprong het, en is aan ons bevestig deur dié wat dit gehoor het. Daarby het God ook saam getuig deur tekens en wonders en ook deur allerhande kragtige dade en gawes van die Heilige Gees, soos Hy dit toebedeel het volgens sy wil.
