Dink julle miskien die Skrif is sommer vir spek en boontjies geskryf? Natuurlik nie. Luister dan na wat daar staan: God wil ons lewe, wat Hy vir ons gegee het, heeltemal vir Homself hê. God gee ook vir ons baie meer as wat ons nodig het om so te leef, sonder dat ons dit verdien. Ek verwys weer na wat die Skrif sê: “God wil niks met die mense te doen hê wat dink hulle kan op hulle eie sonder God regkom nie. Maar vir daardie mense wat weet hulle is niks sonder God nie, is God baie, baie goed - meer as wat hulle ooit verdien.” Wees gehoorsaam aan God en net aan Hom. Verklaar die duiwel vyand nommer een in jou lewe en gee hom nie ’n enkele kans nie. Hy sal dan van jou af padgee omdat hy niks kan regkry nie. Julle moet God se hand al hoe stywer vashou; dan sal Hy júlle hand ook al hoe stywer vashou. As julle verkeerde dinge doen, hou op daarmee. Hou op om aan die een kant God te wil dien en aan die ander kant nog met julle sondes aan te gaan.
