Jesus se lyding was ’n gewillige daad van liefde en gehoorsaamheid. Hy het ons gewig gedra. Gehoorsaamheid moet soms deur swaar uitdagende tye loop. By Jesus se graf simboliseer die klip wagtye in ons eie lewens; seisoene waar hoop diep begrawe voel. Tog leer ons dat God selfs in die donker kan werk, al sien ons dit nie. Dan die oorwinningswoorde: “Hy is nie hier nie”. Die leë graf verklaar dat dood en vrees nie die laaste woord het nie. Die opstanding bring nuwe lewe, tydige hoop en ’n vars begin.

The final week in the life of Jesus was no ordinary week. It was a time of bittersweet goodbyes, lavish giving, cruel betrayals and prayers that shook heaven.
