Day 5: The Second Fire of Conflict – The Peacefire
Devotional
In the heart of every conflict, there is a choice: to chase a desired outcome or to pursue Jesus Christ. The Peacefire ignites when we choose the latter—when we rely relentlessly on Jesus in the heat of strife. Unlike the wildfire of conflict that consumes and divides, The Peacefire refines, restores, and transforms. Jesus is not only our source of peace; He is that peace. At the Peacefire, we seek His purpose, depend on His power, and dwell in His presence. These three principles—Purpose, Power, and Presence—reshape how we respond to conflict. They change our priorities, expand our possibilities, and shift our perspective. We begin to see that Jesus doesn't come to take sides in our conflict; He comes to take over.
Reflection Question:
Which of the three Peacefire principles—purpose, power, or presence—do you most need to apply in a current or past conflict?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, You are my Peacefire in the chaos. Help me to pursue Your purpose, rely on Your power, and stay aware of Your presence. Transform me, my conflicts, and the broken relationships I face. Amen.
