You can trust him
Ever been attacked by someone you thought was a friend? That hurts, doesn’t it? And when you’ve been burned once, it makes it hard to trust anybody.
One of the things I really like about God is that he is not moody, two-faced, or haphazard. The Bible says in James 1:17 that God “does not change like shifting shadows.” He is rock steady in his power, his purposes, and in his love for us.
One of the compensations for growing older is that I now see much more clearly than in my youth how steady the Lord has been in my life. In a constantly changing world, our changeless God is there for you too. You can trust him with everything.
