Let Your Soul Live! 

Many years ago, a pastor who was on his death bed compelled my father to come and meet him. My father did not know him but as he had humbly requested, my father and I went there. I thought he would ask us to pray for his healing. But he said, “Brother, this cancer is killing me and I know I will die in few minutes. But before that there is one thing that troubles my heart. Yes, the feelings of guilt within me torment my heart. I know that only if I confess my sins I will be able to go to heaven. My soul should live and go to heaven. Can you please do me a favor? Please forgive me.” My father was taken aback and said, “Pastor I do not even know you, for what reason should I forgive you.” He said, “Brother, you don’t know me but when some people came and asked me about you, I gave false information about you and that terrible feeling of guilt is troubling me. So, please forgive me.” 

Look at the burden this pastor had for his soul to live even after his death. This should be your cry today, “Lord my soul belongs to You. So it should live even if my body dies.” Yes, my dear friend, your soul should live but not when it is guilty of wrong doings. So, if you are guilty of your wrong deeds which you did knowingly or unknowingly, just confess it to God and He will grant you His eternal life. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, thank You for the word You have spoken to me today. Merciful Father, forgive my shortcomings and give me the grace to become Your child through Your son Jesus Christ. I want my soul to live in Your kingdom forever. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
