Called to be Blessed 

“I have been praying for this for a very long time” – This may be your heart’s cry. Be of good cheer. You have a God who ‘calls’ you and ‘blesses’ you. 

The Bible says that Abraham and Sarah were barren. The Lord sought Abraham, called him and blessed him with the promise that his descendants will be mighty on earth. Though Abraham was an aged man at that time, he did not look at his physical strength. He depended completely on the One who called Him and blessed him with the promise. His hope was not cut off! At last, the couple were blessed with Isaac in their old age. 

God’s promise did not go in vain. God blessed Abraham according to His calling. Today, as a child of God, you are also called by God. If you are called by Him, you are also blessed by Him. Do not depend on your good works for you to be blessed by God. Believe that you are His child and chosen to be blessed. The One who called you will never forsake you. His mercy endures forever. 

Prayer

“Loving heavenly Father, I thank You for the privilege that You have given me to call You ‘Abba, Father’. I believe that You have called me for a blessing. It is not by my good works, but by Your grace. Help me to live by this grace always and stay blessed. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
