Obey! Honor! 

Michael Chang became the champion in the French open Tennis tournament at 17 years of age. He was interviewed by press reporters. In one such interview, he shared the secret of his success saying, “One important person in my life who is mainly responsible for my success is my father. He would accompany me whenever I went for practice. He would take me to church on Sundays. He taught me all about Jesus. He would point out all my flaws. I have always listened to the advice of my coach; at the same time, I would keenly listen to my father’s advice too. That is the reason why God has honored me as a champion in tennis. My heart is overflowing with joy.” 

Jesus Christ till the age of 30 years was with His parents helping them and supporting them in their work until He left to do God’s ministry. He always honored His parents. So, my friend, Jesus Himself has set an example for us to follow Him. When you too obey your parents, go by their advice, study well and lead a righteous life, your life shall prosper and will be filled with joy. And when you are successful, remember to honor your parents. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, I thank You for speaking through the word of blessing every day. I plead for Your Holy Spirit to fill me with Your grace to obey and honor my parents at the right time. I should never put them to shame or hurt them in any way. This I sincerely plead in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
