Justice

SIKU 14 YA 30

MIXING GRACE WITH WORKS The verses above are in connection with the parable of the persistent widow. The widow was the symbol of all who were poor and defenseless. It is very obvious that she had no resources of any kind and had no hope of justice from such a judge. God does not like unjust judge. There is no reason why we should expect to get whatever we ask for – only God sees time whole, and therefore only God knows what is good for us in the long run. This is why Jesus said to never be discouraged in prayer. God knows our needs and when we have offered our prayers and requests having said His will be done we must not grow weary in prayer and our faith must not falter. Justice given by man can be biased but justice given by God is wholesome. Dear God, We pray for those who feel hopeless, for those whose hearts are weighed down by sorrow and those who do not feel loved. We pray that you will be the light in our darkness that we might reflect your light in the dark corners of our world. - Amen “Let the first act of every morning be to make the following resolve for the day: - I shall not fear anyone on Earth. - I shall fear only God. - I shall not bear ill will toward anyone. - I shall not submit to injustice from anyone. - I shall conquer untruth by truth. And in resisting untruth, I shall put up with all suffering.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
