A arcykapłani wzięli srebrniki i rzekli: Nie wolno kłaść ich do skarbca, gdyż jest to zapłata za krew. Po naradzie więc nabyli za nie pole garncarza na cmentarz dla cudzoziemców. Dlatego owo pole nazywa się do dnia dzisiejszego Polem Krwi. Wtedy się wypełniło, co było powiedziane przez proroka Jeremiasza w słowach: I wzięli trzydzieści srebrników, cenę wyznaczoną za sprzedanego człowieka, jak go oszacowano w Izraelu. I dali je za pole garncarza, jak mi nakazał Pan.
