Hold On

Every day is a new opportunity to lay hold of the loyal love of God. It’s easy to get distracted by the daily demands of our schedules, the challenges we face, or the problems we see in the world around us. Despite the flurry of activity around us, each day is a chance to embrace the mercy and grace of God. Our lives can reveal the power of God through the integrity and values we live out. We can choose to get lost in the pressures of the world, or we can stand firmly upon the Lord and share his love with those around us.

Living with godly character is a daily decision. We must choose for our lives to be shaped by his principles or the ways of the world. If we want to reflect his character, we must cultivate it in our lives. This means filling our hearts and minds with the word, spending time in prayer, and making consistent decisions to honor the Lord with our words and actions. Proverbs says to let our lives be shaped by integrity and to write truth upon our hearts. This isn’t something that happens accidentally.

As we embrace the love of God and submit ourselves to his ways, our lives will be transformed. He alone shapes our hearts and helps us grow into the people he created us to be. He heals our brokenness, gives us hope, and equips us to face the challenges that life will bring. He gives us strength when we are weak, mercy when we don’t deserve it, and wisdom when we don’t know what to do.

Whatever you are facing today, grasp hold of God’s loyal love. Remember that he is for you and not against you. He has good things in store for you, and embracing his way of living is far better than the fleeting satisfaction promised by the world.
