Power On!

DAY 19 OF 42

Faith often requires us to take a step before we see the outcome. It reminds me of when my first baby was learning to walk. At first, he was unsteady, unsure, and hesitant, but he still took that first wobbly step, trusting that we would be there to catch him. With each step, his confidence grew until walking became second nature. You should see how he runs now!

Our faith journey is similar. Hebrews 11 tells the stories of people like Noah, Abraham, and Moses, people who stepped out in faith without knowing exactly where they were going or what it was going to look like. They didn’t wait for certainty; they trusted God and moved forward. True faith isn’t about having all of the answers- it’s about trusting the one who does.

Faith isn’t just about belief- its about action. Noah built the ark before the rain came. Abraham stepped out before he knew his destination. Faith means making choices based on God’s promises rather than our feelings or fears.

Like a baby learning to walk, we have to take steps of faith even when we feel uncertain.

Maybe God is calling you to make a difficult decision, trust him in the hard season, or step into something new. Instead of waiting for perfect conditions, take one step today- pray, surrender your worries, or act on what God has placed on your heart.

A practical way to build faith is to write down a step you feel God is calling you to take. It might be a simple conversation, a decision, or simply trusting Him in an uncertain time. Then take that step in faith, knowing he is with you.

Prayer:

Lord, let me trust You like a child learning to walk. Give me the courage to take steps of faith, even when I feel unsteady. Remind me that You are always there, guiding and strengthening me. May I walk in confidence knowing You are faithful. Amen.

About this Plan

Power On!

With Jesus, we want to go from "standing by" to stepping out! Through these readings, experience stories of when God led people to turn "on" their spiritual power and saw the Holy Spirit move through them. God is ready to do miracles on Earth, but we can miss out on what He is ready to do by staying in the boat like Peter nearly did. These Scriptures will encourage you to step out of the boat and see the Power of the Holy Spirit move!
