Power On!ਨਮੂਨਾ

On one of our many adventures on the road, we were heading towards a remote town in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Suddenly, God impressed upon us to pray for protection again, which we did as a family. As we drove at speed around a bend, a huge wedge-tailed eagle was flying low across the road carrying a very large python.
Our car startled the bird so much that it dropped the gigantic serpent, which came hurtling straight for our windscreen. God protected us, and the poor reptile bounced off our windscreen, onto the roof and over the caravan, only leaving a tiny scratch on the glass.
I’m sure many of us can think of times that we have called out for the Lord to keep us safe and he has answered our prayer. Or have you prayed for protection and only realised later, when we hear the news, how he had saved us from disaster?
My Grandfather, who was a policeman in London during the Blitz, had a prayer of protection written out on his car’s dashboard, which he would pray every time he got into his vehicle (especially when he gave me some driving lessons!)
Remember to pray everyday for God’s protection and call on the name of Jesus in a crisis. Listen for His still small voice as you go through your day and be ready to change your plans if He leads you to. He, who made the heavens and the earth, is our ultimate source of help and protection!
Prayer:
Dear Lord, please protect me today and watch over my family, loved ones, friends and church. Please highlight to me, others who need prayer for protection and help today. I thank You for Your help in every situation. Amen.

About this Plan

With Jesus, we want to go from "standing by" to stepping out! Through these readings, experience stories of when God led people to turn "on" their spiritual power and saw the Holy Spirit move through them. God is ready to do miracles on Earth, but we can miss out on what He is ready to do by staying in the boat like Peter nearly did. These Scriptures will encourage you to step out of the boat and see the Power of the Holy Spirit move!
