Prepare the Way: Passion Students Winter Wkndਨਮੂਨਾ

In Psalm 123 we see that the Psalmist is in trouble and he is looking to the Lord for mercy from those who mock him and show no concern for God. He begins his plea by posturing Himself towards the throne. There is an understanding that the only place where mercy and refuge are found is in the presence of God.
In Psalm 25:15 we see a similar account from David when he says, “My eyes are ALWAYS on the Lord, for He will pull my feet from the net.” Many of us have been in a similar place in life. You have looked in every direction for anything to save you but instead have felt far off. So how can we look to the Lord in times of trouble? The Psalmist gives us three things: Look to the Lord first (v. 1), approach Him as a servant (v. 2), and understand that He is merciful. Be encouraged and remember that he is merciful to His children, He hears our prayers, and we can look to Him in full confidence that He will meet us in the midst of our circumstances.
How does God’s mercy change the way you live today?
