Prepare the Way: Passion Students Winter Wkndਨਮੂਨਾ

The Psalmist opens up this song with a statement that changes things for you and me. “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” I feel thankful and discouraged by that at the same time. Discouraged because I have seen time and time again something that I was convinced was best for my life fall short. It is painful when our lives do not seem to go like we think is best. But I feel thankful because that statement implies that the Lord will build the house. In seasons where it feels like there is no blueprint for anything to be built in my life or around me. But...take heart in the reality that I believe in a God who is loving and who has a perfect plan for the things around me. What a joy it is to have a Lord who will build the house!
What is something currently that you have been striving to build in your own strength? Pray a prayer of surrender toward the Lord for that thing.
