Do you have anyone in your life that is encouraging you to follow Jesus? This is exactly what Jesus’ best friend, John, was doing in this letter He wrote to some of the first Christians. He was letting them know that their lives filled him with joy. John was their spiritual leader, spoke into their lives, and pointed them to truth. 

Do you have anyone that has that type of energy for you? Maybe it’s a small group leader or parent who is constantly cheering you on in your faith. These are the people you can trust to give you guidance and encouragement. They are also the people who may have helpful advice when it comes to deciding how to view sex and physical boundaries because they want what is best for you. 

The next time you have decisions to make relating to dating, consider seeking their advice. If you don’t have this person, ask God for these kind of relationships in your life.
