Soul Surrender

Psalm 25:1, 4-5
“To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God…Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”

Will we trust God with our souls?

We trust him with our salvation, but will we trust him with our souls, our thoughts, our emotions and our wills?

It is in humility and dependency that we come to God with our weaknesses, not just our strengths. This heart of surrender, humility and total dependency on God for our daily strength is the mark of those who have learned the secret of the exchanged life. We no longer live, but Jesus lives in us and through us. He is our life. Our hope is in the Lord, all day long, every day. This life of surrender and dependency on the Lord makes life simpler, more centered. Jesus is our strength, our teacher, our guide, our sufficiency, and our life.

Lord Jesus, thank you for filling me with your Spirit again this day, and for living your life through me, for your glory.
