Giving and Receiving

It’s nice when things go our way. Call it blessings, good luck or just rewards, we enjoy when the pendulum swings to our side for a little while. But what if those good things - time, health, energy, resources, finances, family, whatever - what if they were not entirely for our benefit?

Something to think about while you are reading today’s passage:

Abram’s blessing in this passage would be profound, but God’s intent here is that it will flow on to the entire world. He doesn’t work on individual cases; God is all about community and relationship. When he singles someone out, it is for the sake of those around them.

Something to talk about with players of The Aetherlight:

Those playing The Aetherlight will meet several characters who are asked to take on roles for the benefit of others. Talk to players about the benefit they receive from those characters, and what purpose they might play in the Scarlet Man’s greater plan.
