HE WILL SHOW YOU WHAT YOU 'DO NOT RECOGNISE'

"Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know, do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand." – Jeremiah 33:3 (AMPC)

The next promise of God to those who call upon Him, is that He will show us things we 'do not recognize'. To 'not recognize' is to have something right in front of you but miss its significance! You can literally look straight at something and see it, but you do not perceive what is really happening. 'Recognition' comes when God opens the eyes of the heart. This is when you no longer only see in the natural but comprehend the matter from a spiritual point of view also.

When I look back on mistakes I have made in my life, it was often because I believed the best about someone or something but failed to focus on what was really going on beyond my momentary excitement. Only when it is too late, we easily see where we have missed it. Sometimes God's answer is already present; we just don't perceive it. You can ask the Holy Spirit to show you the truth every time you encounter a situation that needs discernment. You do not need to keep making mistakes. Your loving heavenly Father wants to answer you when you 'call to Him'. Open your notebook right now and write your sincere heart's request to Him. Then wait a little while and listen for His voice. Then write down what He says to you.

PRAY

Lord Jesus, I confess that I have often not recognized what was going on right in front of my eyes, simply because I did not enquire of You. Please forgive me for not yielding to the leadership of the Holy Spirit's voice in my heart. I pray, open my eyes. Let me recognize Your presence, Your voice and Your guidance in every aspect of my everyday life.
