"Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know, do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand." – Jeremiah 33:3 (AMPC)

The next promise of God to those who call upon Him is that He is able to show them things that they are unable to discern on their own. What is specifically meant here is our lack of spiritual discernment in certain matters. Our limited ability to tell truth from error, or divine timing from impulse. All of us are constantly growing in our spiritual discernment. God will give us more clarity and comprehension of a matter when we 'call to Him'. In a world of subtle deception, only the Spirit can sharpen your inner compass to choose rightly.

Consider your own ability to discern. There are several aspects of a flawed or lack of discernment. Slowly pray through this list and repent before the Lord of areas where you have made mistakes, asking Him to sharpen your discernment:

>> Misjudged – an incorrect conclusion or evaluation.

>> Incorrectly assumed – looking at outward appearances and drawing a conclusion.

>> Misinterpreted – misunderstanding a matter, not knowing all the facts.

>> Erred – simply made a mistake.

>> Misestimated – if numbers, quantities, or sizes were involved.

>> Miscalculated – often used in logical, numerical, timing, or strategic contexts.

PRAY

Father, I confess of every instance of lack of discernment in my life, where I jumped to my own conclusions without waiting on Your guidance. Forgive me where I have hurt people by wrong assumptions or accusations. Help me incline my ear to Your voice. Help me to clearly separate truth from error, spirit from flesh, and obedience from impulse.
