HE WILL SHOW YOU THINGS YOU 'DO NOT KNOW'

"Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know, do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand." – Jeremiah 33:3 (AMPC)

The fifth promise of God to those who call upon Him, is to show them 'things they do not know'. Such things are truths completely beyond our awareness. Truths that are still unknown to our minds or personal experience. The Lord is saying, "There are things I know about your life, your future and your calling that you have never even imagined." When we answer the invitation from this Scripture to 'call on God', we are certainly not asking for what we already understand! We want to know more about our God and His divine will and purposes for us and the world in which we live.

When we struggle to hear God's voice, it can be hard to believe that He will actually speak to us about things we do not know. And when He does speak, we often struggle to believe that it is truly Him and not just our own thoughts or the enemy. This ongoing struggle has led to many believers giving up on pressing in to hear the deeper things God wants to share with them. Today, He is inviting you to listen again. He promises to speak to those who 'call on Him' and listen to what He answers and shows! Again, take a few minutes, open your notebook or journal and write the desire of your heart right now to the Lord in prayer. Then wait a few minutes and listen to what He is saying back to you!

PRAY

Lord Jesus, please forgive me for giving up hope that I will ever be able to hear Your voice. Forgive me for just living from day to day without making room for You to speak into my heart. I admit my limitations. I open my heart to You today to show me things I do not know. Help me in my weakness and help me experience Your lovingkindness towards me.
