Come Closerნიმუში

What defines you?
Maybe you think of your story.
Of what you can—or can’t—do.
Of your upbringing.
Of what makes you strong.
Or what makes you feel weak.
But what if God says:
All of that is part of your story—but it’s no longer your center.
What if there’s an identity that doesn’t come from you—but lives within you?
What if closeness to Jesus means:
You no longer have to live on your own?
Paul puts it in a radical way. He says, in essence:
“I am no longer the center of my life.
It is Christ who lives in me—and I live from Him.”
That’s more than a nice thought.
It’s a real exchange:
My failure—for His forgiveness.
My lack—for His abundance.
My insecurity—for His presence.
This isn’t just a metaphor. It’s reality.
In the Old Testament, God’s presence was tied to one place: The temple.
Only a few were allowed in.
And only under strict conditions.
But through Jesus, everything changed.
The curtain is torn.
And God’s new temple is you—not made of stone, but of life.
You are not just a disciple who follows Jesus—you are a temple in which He lives.
Paul writes: “Christ lives in you—and that is your hope for a life with God.”
That means:
You don’t have to hold yourself together.
You don’t need to perform in order to be loved.
You are never without strength—even when you feel weak.
And even if you feel empty, searching, or distant—it doesn’t change the reality:
Jesus is here.
In you.
He stays, even when you waver.
He lives, even when you don’t feel it.
He doesn’t stop working in you.
“Jesus, who am I in Your eyes?”
