Solomon’s Calling Solomon was a man destined to build God’s temple, and to elevate the status of Israel into a nation of wealth. He was able to do this because God gave him a very rare gift of deep wisdom. But he had to pass a trial first: God tested Solomon by asking him what he wanted. Specifically, he wanted to be able to tell good from evil and to be able to judge the people well. God blessed Solomon with the wisdom he asked for and Solomon goes on to fulfil his destiny and become the most honoured and most wealthy King in all of history. Teach me, Holy Spirit, how to ask You for the right things. Lead me in my prayer life to be honourable and to focus on Your Kingdom. Let me focus on what is truly needed for me to fulfil my destiny, knowing that you take care of my physical needs. Amen.
