I Feel AbandonedSýnishorn

Abandon yourself to God
The final step in overcoming abandonment is to abandon yourself to God. This means running into His arms, embracing Him, and loving Him with all your heart.
Some people may find this difficult for various reasons.
It may be that the father figure in their lives was not trustworthy and unreliable, or that they displayed repulsive behaviours. We often perceive God through the lens of our earthly fathers. However, God is a perfect, holy, loving, kind Father - full of grace, mercy, and goodness. When we turn to Him, we will always find Him waiting for us.
Do you remember the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-24? In verse 20, we read how the father saw his son “while he was still a long way off: his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him” (Luke 15:20; NASB2020). Here we see a father who waits, embraces, and forgives. What a wonderful assurance that God will welcome us back.
If you have lived in a way that made you feel rejected by God for a time and have experienced His discipline, remember that He is waiting for you to return to Him.
Moreover, God is eager for you to come to Him so that He can protect and provide for you. He wants to be your safe place and a stronghold.
We live in a world where weakness is deemed unacceptable. Everyone is expected to take care of themselves and fight for their rights. We are inundated with movies and books that promote revenge and unforgiveness. Ultimately, we resist being told what to do. We do not want to live under someone else's command or follow someone else's rules. These attitudes reflect the spirit of our age.
When you abandon yourself to God, you entrust yourself to His complete goodness. You surrender to the One who created you, the only one who fully understands your pain and circumstances. He will never misuse that knowledge about you. In Him, you will find safety.
No matter how often people hurt, reject, or abandon us, our loving God always remains faithful. We are His precious children; even when others abandon us, He will never leave us. Like the lost sheep or the prodigal son, when we feel most abandoned, we can find comfort and hope in His loving presence.
