Uncharted: Ruach, Spirit of GodSýnishorn

"Praise be to the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to my master." — Genesis 24:27 (NIV)
Abraham’s servant had just experienced God’s direct guidance in finding a wife for Isaac. This verse is his heartfelt response: praise. Even in the middle of his journey, before everything was complete, he stopped to thank God. So often I pray for things and don’t even pause to thank God for the outcome or the million little miracles along the way. This scripture reminds us that God’s kindness and faithfulness aren’t just seen in finished outcomes but also every step of the way.
Are we pausing to thank God for His faithfulness—even while the story is still unfolding? Today, take a moment to notice where God is showing up in the middle of your day, your decisions, or you’re waiting.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness that never fails. Help me to recognize Your kindness along the journey, not just at the destination. Teach me to pause and give You praise in every step. Amen.
