Uncharted: Ruach, Spirit of GodSýnishorn

“So the field of Ephron in Machpelah… was made over to Abraham as a possession.” – Genesis 23:17–18 (ESV)
When Sarah died, it was a deeply personal loss for Abraham. But in that moment of sorrow, something significant happened: Abraham acquired his first piece of the Promised Land. It wasn’t the whole inheritance—just a field and a cave—but it was the first physical sign of God’s promise coming true. Sometimes the beginnings of fulfillment come wrapped in pain. But even in grief, God can be planting something that will grow into the fulfillment of God’s promises.
Are you walking through a loss or disappointment? Ask God to help you see even the smallest sign of His promises taking root in your life.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that even in painful seasons, You are still at work. Help me to trust that Your promises are unfolding, even when I can only see the first small piece. Amen.
