“If I don’t laugh, I’m gonna cry.” It’s something I often say in dire circumstances, when I’m trying to make light of something dark. Maybe it’s just me, or maybe it’s a little bit of our Aussie culture that loves to joke around. But I think it also comes from the fact that sometimes, with that 20/20 hindsight, we can look back and laugh.

And that’s exactly how Sarah feels right now at the sheer ridiculousness of her situation.

Twenty-five years ago, God gave Abraham a promise, and finally, in their old age, he is born.

Imagine the frustration, the pain, the confusion they journeyed through over those decades. But God was at work.

And just like Sarah one day, we will laugh. We’ll sing. We’ll rejoice together in Zion. And we’ll stand in awe of all He’s done.

There might be things you’ve long given up on. Prayers you’ve prayed for months, years. Don’t lose heart. We worship a God who is never late and always faithful. Pray like you’re in it for a lifetime. Because with Him, anything is possible.

Prayer:

Lord, You are faithful. We ask that You can strengthen our faith. Father, when we doubt, we ask boldly, help our unbelief. Amen
