Rekindling Our View of His Glory
According to Easton's Bible Dictionary, “glory” speaks of abundance, treasure, majesty, and brightness—words that describe the overwhelming beauty and worth of God. Yet if we’re honest, there are seasons when our passion fades. One moment we’re on fire in worship, and the next, we’re distracted, tired, or indifferent.
But God’s glory doesn’t fade. His splendor isn’t seasonal. It’s our vision that shifts.
Life has a way of blurring our focus—busyness, disappointment, or routine can dim our awareness of the One who never changes. When we lose sight of Jesus in His full glory, our worship begins to feel empty or forced. But the problem isn’t with Him; it’s with our perception.
The transfiguration was a moment where the veil was pulled back and Jesus’ divine glory shone through. It wasn’t a new glory—it was the same glory, simply revealed. We need those moments too. Moments when our vision clears and we remember who He truly is.
Today, pause and fix your eyes on Jesus again—not the version we casually glance at, but the glorious Son of God in all His majesty. Let the brightness of who He is stir your heart to worship again.
Respond to God’s Word:
Worship Jesus today as the glorious Son of God.
