Simple Prayer: How to Pray Like JesusSýnishorn

You are Holy
Declaring His Name to the Nations
Read: Psalm 96
"Declare his glory among the nations, his marvellous deeds among all peoples." (Psalm 96:3 NIV)
Devotional Thought:
God’s holiness is not meant to be hidden—it is meant to be declared. Psalm 96 calls all people to worship the Lord and proclaim his greatness. When we say, “Hallowed be your name,” we are not just praying it for ourselves, but for the whole world to recognise and honour him. As his followers, we are called to make his name known—to share his goodness, his salvation, and his love with others.
Prayer Practice: Sung Worship as Prayer
Play a global worship song or one in a different language (e.g., “How Great Is Our God (World Edition”)). Pray for the nations as you listen and sing. Imagine voices across the world lifting up the same holy name.
Reflection Activity:
Take a moment to pray for someone who does not yet know God. Ask that they come to see his holiness and love.
Prayer:
Lord, may your name be hallowed in all the earth. Use me to reflect your holiness and share your love with those who do not yet know you. Let my life declare your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan

Inspired by the structure of the Lord’s Prayer, this devotional explores five key movements—Father, You are holy, We need you, I need help, Forgive and protect us—each over five days. Through examples of prayer found in the Psalms and practices like Breath Prayer, Lectio Divina, Intercession, Journaling, and the Examen, you’re invited to slow down and engage with God’s presence, character, and care in everyday life.
