Simple Prayer: How to Pray Like Jesus

DAY 12 OF 25

We Need You

A Kingdom of Justice and Righteousness

Read: Psalm 72
"May he judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice." (Psalm 72:2 NIV)

Devotional Thought:
Psalm 72 paints a picture of God's kingdom as one of perfect justice and righteousness. Unlike earthly rulers who may be swayed by power or greed, God's rule brings fairness to the oppressed and care to the poor. His kingdom is marked by peace, prosperity, and compassion. When we pray, “Your kingdom come,” we align ourselves with His heart for justice. We ask that His ways would shape our world and that we would be His hands and feet, bringing His justice where it is needed.

Reflection Activity – Intercession:
Spend time interceding for areas of injustice in your city or in the world. Pray for the poor, the marginalised, those affected by violence or exploitation. Ask God to bring His kingdom through justice, peace, and restoration.

Prayer:
God of justice, let your kingdom be seen through the way I live. Give me a heart that reflects your righteousness and a willingness to stand for what is right. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
