Simple Ways to Love the Lord & Others: Devotions for Girls (I Am Available)

DAY 5 OF 5

We've learned all about the goodness of spending quality time with God because we love Him and He loves us.

Have you ever done a scavenger hunt or seen a movie where someone is searching for treasure? There is a hunt for the beautiful treasure at the end!

Well, we can have a timeless and beautiful treasure when we seek God—the joy of a relationship with the eternal, amazing, and loving God!

Reflection:

What does our verse today, Matthew 13:45-46, compare the kingdom of heaven to, and what do we know about this item?

What did the merchant do when he found the fine pearls?

What does that say about the kingdom of heaven?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You that I am Available. Thank you for loving me so much. I pray I would also love You more than anything. In Jesus' Name, amen.

Action:

Create a scavenger hunt with a "treasure" at the end for someone to do, or ask someone to create one for you. This is a fun reminder of seeking God with all your heart and the awesome treasure that comes when you find God.

About this Plan

Simple Ways to Love the Lord & Others: Devotions for Girls (I Am Available)

These devotions for girls share simple ways to love the Lord and love others. Each day will help girls be more available to the Lord through loving Him and others. These devotions are based on the "I am Available" chapter from "I am Yours: Prayers For God's Girl" by Wynter Pitts. Each devotion has a short teaching, reflection question(s), prayer, and action step. On their own or with a parent, girls can enjoy connecting with the Lord and growing in their faith a day at a time!
