Simple Ways to Love the Lord & Others: Devotions for Girls (I Am Available)Sýnishorn

One of the cool things about seeking God daily is that He shows you new and awesome things. God spoke the verse in Jeremiah 33:2-3 (NIV) directly to Jeremiah, a prophet in the Bible, when he was in prison for sharing God’s message:
“This is what the Lord says, He who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is His name: ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’”
While in prison when Jeremiah might have been afraid, God reminded Jeremiah that He was there—that if Jeremiah would call out to Him, the Lord would share great and unsearchable things he did not know.
Even though we will never fully understand God, we can know more and more about Him each day when we make ourselves available. Isn't that amazing!
Reflection:
What is one thing you know about God?
What is something you want to know about the Lord?
What is a way you can call out to the Lord, like Jeremiah, to learn more about Him?
Prayer:
Lord, thank you that I am Available. As I make time for You, would you show me new and awesome things? Thank you, Lord! In Jesus’ name, amen.
Action:
In your journal, write a prayer asking God a question about Him. Look in your Bible to see if you can find the answer there, or ask someone you trust with Biblical wisdom. Have fun seeing how the Lord answers you!
