Refresh My Soul: Discovering God’s Promises for a Purposeful LifeIhe Nhụchatụ

Day 20: Rest for Our Souls
When Jesus visited the home of Martha and her sister Mary, Martha was overwhelmed. Meanwhile, Mary sat still.
Jesus responded,
"Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her" (Luke 10:41-42 NIV).
It’s easy to stay in motion, to keep producing, planning, and achieving. But Jesus calls us to something deeper.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 NIV).
No matter how fast your life seems to spin, Jesus gently taps the seat next to Him, motioning you to breathe easily, and remember you are loved—not for what you do, but for who you are.
His rest restores our souls, renews our strength, and brings a sense of peace that the world cannot give.
APPLICATION
Choose a moment today to sit quietly with Jesus. No agenda; just seek His presence.
- PRAY
Jesus, I come to You for rest. Quiet my mind. Settle my soul. Help me receive Your peace and remember what truly matters. Amen.
- SAY
I rest in Jesus. His presence renews me and reminds me who I am.
- ASK
What does it look like to prioritize soul-deep rest today? Why do I think it feels hard to receive sometimes?
