Refresh My Soul: Discovering God’s Promises for a Purposeful LifeIhe Nhụchatụ

Day 19: Peace in Your Storm
One evening, after a long day of teaching, Jesus and His disciples set out across the Sea of Galilee. As they sailed, Jesus fell asleep, and a fierce storm arose. The waves threatened to capsize the boat, and the terrified disciples woke Jesus up, crying out for Him to help.
Jesus stood up and rebuked the wind and the waves, saying, "Peace! Be still!" Immediately, the storm ceased, and a great calm followed. Jesus then asked His disciples,
"Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" (Mark 4:40 NIV).
Jesus holds power over the storms of life, and He promises peace even in the midst of chaos.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid" (John 14:27 NIV).
When you feel overwhelmed, you can turn to God, knowing that He is your refuge and strength, and He will bring peace to your heart and mind. Just as He calmed the storm for His disciples, He can calm the storms for you.
If your mind feels stormy today, invite Jesus in. He hasn’t left. He’s still in the boat with you.
