Refresh My Soul: Discovering God’s Promises for a Purposeful Life

ỤBỌCHỊ 10 NKE 30

Day 10: The Power of God's Promises

Abraham, often called the father of faith, experienced the power of God's promises firsthand. When God told him he’d be the father of many nations, Abraham and his wife, Sarah, were both well beyond childbearing age. It seemed impossible. But Abraham believed.

He trusted God’s word even when the timeline didn’t make sense. His faith wasn’t based on his circumstances—it was rooted in who God is. And that faith left a legacy for generations.

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ. And so through him the 'Amen' is spoken by us to the glory of God” (2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV).

God doesn’t make empty promises. Every word He speaks is backed by His character. He is faithful, unchanging, and true. Through Jesus, every promise of God is confirmed—our hope is not wishful thinking, but anchored in Him.

Standing on His promises reshapes how we live. We pray with confidence. We face challenges with assurance. We begin to see our lives not through fear or limitation, but through the lens of His faithfulness.

Wherever you are today, let the promises of God speak louder than your doubts. What He starts, He will finish.

APPLICATION

Declare one of God’s promises out loud today. Let it guide how you think, speak, and respond.

  • PRAY
Lord, thank You for Your promises. Strengthen my faith and help me to live in a way that reflects trust in what You’ve said. Let Your Word shape my thoughts and actions. Amen.
  • SAY
God’s promises are sure and steady. I trust Him to do what He has spoken.
  • ASK
What promise am I holding onto today—and how is it shaping the way I live?
