Godly character comes from God’s Holy Spirit.

Without God, your character is sinful. You’re born that way. But when you choose to follow Jesus, you can live by the Holy Spirit’s power and build godly character! Look at the choices you make, the thoughts you think, and the way your heart feels. When you notice those things don’t show God’s good fruit, pray for God’s power to say, “No!” to sin and “Yes!” to letting God’s Holy Spirit change you.
