Hope is an expression of trust. If we hope for something or in someone, we are trusting it or they will come through for us. The problem is life is full of the unexpected, and people can't help but disappoint us. There is only One we can hope in and not be disappointed. He's never broken a promise. He's never failed to deliver on His word. In today's reading David shouts God's praise as the One in whom he trusts when he's facing opposition.
