When Pigs Fly

Who is our God?

He’s full of amazing, darkness-destroying, wonderful, worry-displacing power that never leaves us alone. 

He’s our ever-present refuge who brings mighty strength when we’re weak and blasts like dynamite through the impossible to make eternal life inevitable. 

He deserves our childlike faith because He’s our good Father. 

He doesn’t always do what we ask because He always knows what we need. 

He’s the same wonder-working God of the Bible.

He’s the unseen source of dunamis.

And He has given us, followers of Jesus, the same power that raised Christ from the dead. 

Why? 

To live a good life? Not really. To get everything we ask for? Not at all. To impress people with our spirituality? Nope. So we can walk with Him, and work with Him, and go into the world with that power, by that power, to know Him and to make Him known.

Pray: God, thank You for working a miracle of trust in me. Thank You for displacing worry at the center of my life with Your Son, Jesus. Thank You for daily giving me what I really need. Lead me to do Your work in this world. Amen.
