30DaysOfBibleLettering - Round 3

“His hope” How many times have we put our hope in something which in the end wasn’t worth it? We hoped for so much, but got so little. This verse is talking about a hope that enters the sanctuary behind the curtain. Do you know what you find behind this curtain? It is God himself. In the earlier times when they had temples, only the high priest could go into the presence of God behind the curtain. What a privilege that we can say that our hope is in God himself. This changes the perspective of our hope. When it’s God himself who is responsible for our hope, God who has perfect and loving plans for our lives, it is our honor to put our hope in him. This hope is an anchor for our soul. When winds come up and swirl around you, you might feel the wind. The wind might give you goose bumps, but your soul has such a steadfast hope that it cannot be shaken. (Psalm 16:8) We cannot be shaken even if some might try to shake us. Circumstances can shake us or even what we believe. But the Lord is with us and He knows what we are going through. And that is why only He can be our hope.
